Hello List; I'm still using OpenSuSE 10.3. Would like to get involved in some of the BOINC projects. Doesn't seem to be much info out there for SuSE users. Any RPMs available? Thanks for the help. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

no need for an rpm, all you need to do is download the program from the site, and one simple sh you have the boinc folder on your desktop. beware though, I had it set to run overnight for 8 hours on a dual core file server. after my electric bill went up $100 in one month, I never used it again lol. - -- Steve Reilly http://reillyblog.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFI6qRCUpqfZIdKFyERAqr2AJ45bQOFLzcHhQkfvkuVSx9s/hj/lwCdFCgV mXbJprsTJiaPseROQrop7oA= =F0Lz -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

As another BOINC user said, it's a simple sh to install. Just follow the directions for installing it to a linux system. Once that's done, search for KBoincSpy...it'll sit in your tray and make things a lot easier to see what's going on with the BOINC project you decide to use. -- A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves. -Edward R. DUDE, next time, ask Google first, Plz Search the google with: BOINC site:download.opensuse.org
And if you include "10.3" in the search terms, you see there are no RPMs for 10.3, which was explicitly what the OP asked for.
Good luck! : )
Please don't top-post. And using standard quoting would be very helpful. Randall Schulz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Personally I could care less about stuff like that as long as the communication was actually 1) correct 2) relevant 3) unambiguous Which his post was all of those. What importance is slang/affectation next to actual content? I say pick on people who actually are doing some kind of harm. Besides, you perpetrated the very crime you complained about. It doesn't matter that you were obviously trying to be funny and possibly don't normally talk that way, the fact is You did, and it wasn't in the form of strickly quoting some example to point at and say "don't do that" you were talking that way directly in your own right, and so you don't get to tell others not to. -- Brian K. You may want to try http://www.rechenaugust.de/boinc/. No RPMs there, but binaries compiled for OpenSuSE 10.2, 10.3 and 11.0 including install script. It's easy to use and works fine for me.
