The trouble with xcolors is that the color map is too long for the screen and there's no available scrolling mechanism.
I have a scrollbar on the left side (xcolors-91.10.4-307, SuSE 7.2). Try e.g.: $ xcolors -geometry 400x600 & to start with a smaller window. -- Alexandr.Malusek@imv.liu.se

Great idea, Alexandr. It solves the problem completely. To take the idea further, I'll put: Xcolors.geometry: 800x800 into my ~./.Xdefaults file. Paul
