if you receive the mail on gerald.org.za and are root of this computer, the simplest way is to creat an account gerald on this computer. if not you may probably see with the admin jdd -- pour m'écrire, aller sur: http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.net http://arvamip.free.fr

that user id. So, if gerald is a user, and if you have portfix or sendmail
properly configured, there should be no problem. If you want to receive
email as ger@gerald.org.za, you can set up an alias. (eg. /etc/alias).
This should also assume that gerald.org.za is listed as a valid host in DNS.
If gerald.org.za is listed by some DNS server (eg. org.za), then the rest
of the world should be able to send you email.

DNS can be a bit complicated. You can let org.za manage the DNS for you or
you can become the master for the gerald.org.za domain, so if you need
additional hosts under that domain you can set them up, but in this case,
just stick with org.za.

Hey thanks for the help. I dont know anything about domains and sendmail, postfix, or any of that stuff. I'll let org.za do everything for me and tell i know whats..what and know whats going on. Thanks again. Gerald
