This works if you use IMAP, with uw-imap (folders in mbox format): Create two folders: spam/ham or false-negatives/false-positives and manually move there the mails that you want to teach SA about. Tell your users to follow the same procedure. Then put this script in /etc/cron.weekly or cron.daily if you prefer cat /etc/cron.weekly/spamassassin-learn #!/bin/bash # Script to make SpamAssassin learn from /home/username/spam # and /home/username/ham # find the users (IMAP only) that have created the folders find /home -maxdepth 2 -name spam > /tmp/users_with_spam find /home -maxdepth 2 -name ham > /tmp/users_with_ham # learn from the folders sa-learn --spam --mbox -f /tmp/users_with_spam sa-learn --ham --mbox -f /tmp/users_with_ham # empty the folders for LINE in `< /tmp/users_with_spam` ; do
$LINE done for LINE in `< /tmp/users_with_ham` ; do $LINE done
# clean up rm -f /tmp/users_with_spam /tmp/users_with_ham

Yes. It's called a Barracuda Anti-Sap Firewall. See http://www.barracudanetworks.com I can help you test one. Dee

Assuming you run spamassassin with a per user configuration, edit the file ~/.spamassassin/user_prefs, and add lines like: whitelist_from someuser@somehost.somewhere # Whitelist and blacklist addresses are now file-glob-style patterns, so # "friend@somewhere.com", "*@isp.com", or "*.domain.net" will all work. # whitelist_from someone@somewhere.com -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
