Off-topic(it's about the list)
Hello, this is an off-topic question on the list: I normally check my mail one or two times a day. But when I check it I get 200messages and just ten are not from suse-linux-en. I mean now when I'm writing this e-mail I already get two new ones. How can I make suse-linux-en as a newsgroup(like: nntp.futurenet.com) so I don't get every thing sent to my mail address? Pit A. ------------- Pit Apps is the man who has the most incompatible Pc for Linux suse but he got it up und running.
Find an ISP that lets you read your mail online through a browser. Then you can delete all the messages you don't want to read. JDL Pit Apps wrote:

Yeah What do you think i'm doing? But I still have to delete the 200messages every time. On nntp.futurtenet.co m I don't there I just look at them and the server deletes the old ones. Pit A.

My virutal domain allows that. I've found that using your browser to read your mail is sssllllooooowwwww, to say nothing of being clumsy, awkward, inconvenient...... JLK

I actually don't know the answer to your question, but I have another idea. You could use procmail to filter your mail. I use it to place all messages from the suse-linux-e list in a separate mailbox. That way my inbox only has nonlist items. Victor Cardona

The same with K Mail. Create a new folder named SuSE, and with the filter (File > Filter) direct all messages that contain [SLE] in the subject, to this folder. The rest goes to the inbox. I guess this is possible with every E-mail program. SH
