[opensuse] Pulse Audio, nothing but problems
I continue to have various, and considerable problems with the
PulseAudio Implementation. So much so I'm either going to have to
return to 10.3, or remove it.
What are my options?
Can PulseAudio be removed, and replaced with a more stable set of audio
tools?

I had similar problems with a SB Audigy LS. Someone on the list suggested adding yourself to all the pulse-related groups. Now I can control the sound, even of my WebCam mic via the pulse interface. First, please file the issues you are having.

You can return to esound.
zypper install -n esound should do the trick.

I'm going to spend a few hours at try to get uninstall pulseaudio again.
My last night attempts yielded a system with no sound at all.
My concern is how much of the gnome software is expecting the pulseaudio
support, even when it doesn't list pulseaudio as a dependency.
I'll tell you how it goes....
