SSL with Yast, it's possible ??? how ?
Hi, Someone knows if it's possible to configure SSL for Apache2 only with Yast ? I know how to do it manually, next Monday I'll do my CLP exam at Novell and it's possible that they ask me to configure it, and if I don't remember how to do it manually ('cause there are lots of things to configure), Yast could help me :-) Sorry for the English ! Tks, Thiago
nobody know's it ????

Have you found any place in Yast that talks about SSL for Apache2?

yast2 -> system -> sysconfig editor -> network -> www ... Change APACHE_SERVER_FLAGS to SSL And you have to add the vhost for ssl of course. This is not possible via yast. -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
You do not configure apache to do ssl. It generally is available. What you have to do is to access the location by putting https:// instead of http:// Thiago dos Santos wrote:

No, I tried that on mine and it doesn't work. There are things that need be done; i suppose one of them is creating the certificate. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFEBkjJtTMYHG2NR9URAsHbAKCVs4CTdgFMZtQTO8IcwmcrgHnVPwCdGPJi K/h215+ZpQxA5f99iYrHEGU= =YosL -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
I want to know if I can do the same as the openssl comand does to
create de ssl.crt and ssl.key files with Yast, these sintax are very
complicated to remember, I saw something about certificates there, but
I couldn't know how to do it right...

Yep that is another item you have to create. You can create your own fake certificate if you are doing it within house though. Carlos E. R. wrote:

I didn't said it anytime here ! I just would like to know if I can do
it using Yast, configuring the SSL and creating the certificates /
keys that I do manualy using openssl.

Yes, I know, but you're still top-posting. I know that gmail is encouraging users to do so by placing the cursor above the original message when hitting the reply button, but it is generally seen as bad practice, since it disrupts the flow of the discussion significantly. \Steve
