Well, I was either going to rebuild this beast, or buy a new box. I couldn't turn down a bid I won for a new IBM IntelliStation M Pro Pentium III 600MHz SCSI "monster box," for $799 from uBid. 'Has 512MB 100Mhz. RAM, wide ULTRA SCSI, G400 video, a 2-way MOB (ships with 1 CPU), 4 cooling fans, Crystal for sound, 40X CD, and 10/100 base NIC, 3 yrs. warranty from IBM, etc. 'Don't think I went wrong on the price, eh? : ) Anyway, I'll know before too much longer how 7.1 goes on it. Anyone have any experience with these beasts? Fred -- Winbloze: 32-bit extensions and a graphical shell for a 16-bit patch to an 8-bit operating system originally coded for a 4-bit microprocessor, written by a 2-bit company that can't stand 1-bit of competition.
No one could possibly guess that you are proud. Don't worry. The bigger the box, the easier the installation. On Sunday 01 April 2001 22:14, Fred A. Miller wrote:
