[SLE] /dev/cdrom permissions
I installed a funny application called Win4Lin from TreLOS company (www.trelos.com) - it runs Win9x within your Linux system quite nicely. Doing this, I had a problem with the CDROM permissions. They are normally configured by SuSE as 640, while this application needs the CDROM to be accessed by a normal user (have read permission). After interacting with the Trelos support service I changed therefore to 644 (I don't understand why root should have write permission, though). Maybe it is a good idea to change the standard configuration to this value. -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
