[OT] Script that automates AT&T online messaging, or is able to fill out a form on an html page?
Howdy, I'd like to set up an email alias that runs a script that automatically sends a message to my phone. I'm sure it's possible, I just don't know how. The page I'm referring to is http://www.mobile.att.net/mc/personal/pager_show.html Does anyone have anything like this already? I tried to look on freshmeat but I must not be using the right query =) ---------------------------------------------------- Jonathan Wilson System Administrator Cedar Creek Software http://www.cedarcreeksoftware.com Central Texas IT http://www.centraltexasit.com
For most, just send e-mail to the phone number with area code and the
carrier's name, e.g., 5125551212@mobile.att.net. I use maildrop (procmail
works too) to copy some e-mails to my cellphone, e.g., severe weather
alerts, tornados, flash flood watches, etc. Texas weather keeps life
from getting too dull.

I did not try it, but from the aliases man page it seems that an alias can
be a local or external address as well as a command. If all you want to
accomplish is to forward all mail sent to this alias to your cell phone,
set the alias to your_10_Digit_Phone_Number@mobile.att.net. Be aware
though that the message is limited to 150 characters (which include the
sender, subject and body).
