Handheld updating using a SuSE Linux Solution ...
Hello All, I have a client that would like to give his senior staff Handheld Devices that are WiFi enabled. He would like to use the wireless Network to update Meeting Schedules and Calendars and such every 10 minutes, automatically. As it stands now, he is set on HP Journada/Exchange/Outlook as the solution. Of course price is a factor and I have advised him of the potential security risk of using Outlook in the office (as an email client). The question is, is this solution possible using Evolution, a SuSE based server and handhelds running Palm OS (like Handspring Treo's). I would love to propose a linux based solution to this. Thanks, -=Thinker

Evolution can export its calendar to be put up on the web, not entirely sure what type of format it is. Presumably Evolution can also import files of this kind. Network HotSync is possible to do, so you'd only really have to figure out how to do the merging of meetings etc into Evolution. I am sure there will be stumbling blocks along the way, but nothing that should prevent the solution from being viable.
I would love to propose a linux based solution to this.
Without doing research on this, I can not be certain, but from what I
know already, it should be possible.
