I added the following line in fstab: * '/dev/hde1 /home/yogi/mnt/Sandisk vfat username=<username>,password=<pw>,uid=<user> gid=<grp> 0 0' The line, 'mount /home/<user>/mnt/Sandisk' worked and the disk was accessible with rw access. I moved files from it to the main partition, deleted a couple other files and attempted to umount. 'Device Busy' was the constant error, so I just unplugged it and held my breath. I then changed the line to more-or-less emulate the floppy device and tried again. No luck. I changed back to what I had in the first place, and no luck.(?) I received errors which contained the suggestions, sda, so, and one other, I think. no-no..... must umount first. Try as root: rchotplug restart If that does not work, my experience has shown that the normal windoz correctall is next, *reboot*. I hope someone else has another solution. gud luk, -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org
