YOU problem w/9.0
I haven't been able to get You to function -- it seems to go into some loop where it says "initializing", and y2base gotes into an infinte loop using up 99.9% of the cpu. Any ideas on things to try? I'm thinking there is a problem in some datafile somewhere but I don't know how to correct the data file. Something changed somewhere, since it used to display version 8.2 even though I have 9.0 installed --- but oddly enough, I never had 8.2 installed, I tried upgrading from 8.1 -- and I did boot off the DVD -- not a live update -- but it wiped my existing rpm database leaving a bunch of orphaned files and was unable to upgrade the system -- so I had to install the rest of the system by hand. The SuSE support people don't seem to know how to reset YaST or correct the versioning problem except to reformat my hard disk and reinstall everything from scratch. Apparently they are using Microsoft support personel to staff the SuSE support line these days. :-(. help? linda
