Yeah, you can save yourself $40 by buying the upgrade version. Check out SuSE's website for the details on how to order it. I don't know that it's available in regular outlets.

Thanks for the info Ben I have ordered my last edition 8.1 from a Suse shop here in my area via post. They have send me a prospect with the updates and full versions to order. So I will just go ahead and order the update like you said. And just so that you know - the "update" edition is actually exactly the same as the full Pro edition except that it doesn't include all the manuals and only has 60 days of support. So, you *can* do a fresh install from the "update" edition - it's the user, not the computer, that is experienced with SuSE in this case.

Thanks for the info John, but as far as the manuals go they can be downloaded from what I have heard in pass listings and to the 60 days of support ?. ;-) I really dont need because I am subscriber of the best support there is for suse and thats this listing. (At this point I would like to thank all of you that are doing a super job here, helping those and being helped).
