All I'm trying todo is when I boot up the /etc/fstab file willl look in the file and automatically mount the fs... /dev/hda2 /windows/C vfat rw,user,noauto,umask=000 0 0 Is this line incorrect in the /etc/fstab ? -- Dre :-)

yes, the line is incorrect -- specifically, the option "noauto" means that "at bootup time, don't mount this", [well, technically it means "don't mount this line when someone issues the command 'mount -a' ", which typically is only done at boot time...] take the "no" out of "noauto" and you should see it mount properly when the system boots.
