You may have fixed this by now but just for the future list searchers out there I thought I should reply. After a lot of hair pulling and teeth gnashing I traced this to having the 'use client driver' option set. It was documented all along here: http://us2.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/CUPS-printing.htm... I had previously overlooked the cupsaddsmb part because I was doing only raw printing and had misunderstood the purpose of the 'use client driver' option. HTH James.
