I've set up an entry in fstab to let me get to my WinXP C drive, however, it can only be reached from root account. Regular user account receives the message that I don't have permission to access the directory. Here's what the fstab entry looks like: /dev/hda1 /windows/c auto ro,noauto, user, exec 0 0 I'm obviously missing something but what, I don't know. Any insight will be greatly appreciated! -- Zach Linux--Doing to Microsoft what the DOJ couldn't.

My fstab entry looks like this .. /dev/hda1 /windows/C ntfs ro,users,gid=users,umask=0002,iocharset=utf8 0 0 (the iocharset is because it's a Japanese verison of XP) Permissions look like this .. drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 72 2003-06-13 23:19 windows dr-xr-xr-x 1 root users 8192 2003-06-25 20:28 C HTH sjb

dr-xr-xr-x 1 root users 8192 2003-06-25 20:28 C
That did the trick...apparently, I didn't have enough (or the right) parameters in the setup. Thanks! -- Zach Linux--Doing to Microsoft what the DOJ couldn't.
