[opensuse] php5-mhash disabled...
I just saw that mhash is disabled in the spec file for php5 if SUSE version is 11.0 or higher. Simple question, does it do any harm? I know it's been deprecated in favor for hash, but I have quite a few apps using mhash still, so if it doesn't do any harm I thought I'd continue using it until all apps has been remade for hash. I really didn't find any relevant info on it with a quick Google search, so I ask you fellows. No, it doesnt, but when you have to support a product for several years, you sometimes have to disable stuff that you know it is unsupported or that active development has ceased. -- "If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed" -George Carlin (1937-2008) Cristian Rodríguez R. Thanks Cristian, I didn't expect it to be "harmful" either really, but I thought I'd ask before starting a build of the latest PHP with mhash enabled. Anders. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
