SuSE 6.1 kernel 2.2.7
Device is a 250mb Zip parallel. Unit is powered and cartridge installed. (Works under Win)
/dev/sda1 /zip vfat user,noauto 0 0
insmod imm with the following results:
With E(IDE) kernel
unresolved symbol paraport_unregister_device unresolved symbol paraport_enumerate unresolved symbol paraport_register-device unresolved symbol paraport_claim unresolved symbol paraport_release
when you recompile you compile imm and parport as Modules. make sure you also use the make modules make modules_install reboot with the new kernel. It does work, I got a parellel port 250 megs working under SuSE 6.3 kernel 2.2.13 Also check out /usr/doc/howto/mini/Zip-* Jack
With parallel zip kernel
Device or resource busy
What am I overlooking?

What happens if you do modprobe vice insmod? -- --- George's View on Computer Security --- There are *only* two levels of security: a) Paranoid; and b) None. insmod imm with the following results:
With E(IDE) kernel
unresolved symbol paraport_unregister_device
Always use modprobe to load a module, as it will check dependencies and load
all modules need by the one you're trying to load. I guess that'll solve
your problems.
