Fred..Fred..oh master of the article... :) Have you found any of these responses on NON-Linux specific sites? It seems to me when the leaders of the open source community respond .. they do so in Linux forums...and When Microsoft makes these statements..it's to mainstream media. Wouldn't it be better to respond in the statements in the forum that they occurred in? It's like preaching to the converted. And all the public sees are those bonehead comments from the Microsoft side. Just something to make ya go..hmmmm. -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Benjamin Franklin

Yep I agree with you Ben, that's one of the problem of the open source community. The public is not really touched by its involvement because it doesn't spread into "global" media. Would we hack CNN.COM to do so? :)) Ju.
Hey, give it a shot (no wait, that the job of all those M$ W2K/XP using script kiddies and crackers) - never mind. See ben post about the Wall Street Journal. That made me warm and fuzzy all over. Cheers, Curtis :) On Thursday 07 June 2001 06:10 pm, Julien Biezemans wrote:

Fred's post also show that maybe the mass media is finally starting to pay attention as well - let's hope so On Thursday 07 June 2001 10:10 pm, Fred A. Miller wrote:

That's what I wrote essentially in the comments section of the article. It need to be said "mainstream". Outside of the "Linux" community, otherwise the "decision" makers in the business/corporate world will only hear the M$ side of things. Cheers.
