How to make Synaptic proceed past unknown-sig and unsigned packages?
SuSE 9.1 Pro. Synaptic says Error Apt system reports: Error(s) while checking package signatures: 104 unsigned package(s) 68 package(s) with unknown signatures 0 package(s) with illegal/corrupted signatures So I went back through the process and UNchecked the box that says to verify package signatures. Nope. Same error. What does Synaptic want? How do I make it get past the announcement about signatures and apply the packages? Isn't unchecking that box supposed to be the same as using the -- nocheck option in apt? Kevin

Weird.

Yes. But the missing rpmkeys are in the 'rpmkeys' repository. Add that repository to sources.list, and install the missing keys (perhaps just all). See http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.1-i386/RPMS.rpmkeys/ for the available rpmkeys. Cheers, Leen
