How do you use '--no-checksig' in apt?
Hello. I'm trying to use apt but I only get error messages like "Unknown signature" and "(MISSING KEYS: GPG#cd3140cd)". From a previous discussion on this list I understand that I should use '--no-checksig' with apt, but I don't know how. I've tried 'apt-get--no-checksig', 'apt-get--no-checksig upgrade', apt-get --no-checksig upgrade', '--no-checksig', 'apt--no-checksig' but nothing seems to work. I've looked in the apt man page but I can't see any examples of how I should type a command with an option. What am I doing wrong? /Lars

My 'man apt' tells me: --no-checksig Do not check the integrity of the packages to be installed. It can be used if the integrity check fails for 1 or more packages, but the packages have been obtained from a save origin. Configuration item: RPM::GPG-Check. You need to use it as; apt --no-checksig install <pkg> It is apt and not 'apt-get' -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless

Aaaah! Thank you! 'apt --no-checksig upgrade' worked fine too. /Lars
