[opensuse] stupid bugzilla question
I want to search for all bugs I have reported to openSUSE. Not a big
list. But I want to check their status. Shouldn't I be able to get a
list via the search form, filling in my name in the "Who and What"
section? I enter my last name, click only "reporter". Nothing. I change
it to my e-mail address, and then I get some, but not all of the
tickets. All tickets that show "Roger Oberholtzer

If you are logged into bugzilla https://bugzilla.novell.com/ there should be a "My Bugs" link at the bottom of the screen. But that won't show closed bugs. But under Search / Advanced search you can do a search where [under "who and what"] "the reporter" "is" <your-email-address>. Make sure you select all the status values under Status [ in the "Impact" section]. That will give you a report of all your bugs. You can also save searches for later. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Did that, but got nothing. I know that one or two of the bugs are still classified as New. So they are not closed. But nothing shows up. That is why I was using the search page

The search page is divided into various sections. I thought if you filled in things in the "Who and What" section, and pressed the search button directly there, that only those criteria were used in the search, not all the criteria in all the other sections. Seems I was wrong. I enabled all the status values and got what I expected. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O. "My Reports" is the one to use and that one works for me. At this time I am interested in closed/worksforme reports as well. So I am using the search form. Otherwise, this seems a reasonable report. I do keep all the e-mails I get in a folder. But that may not be a fool-proof setup. So I want to check bugzilla directly. Doing the same with our own bugzilla/trac system. Time for a bit of spring cleaning. -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems / Ramböll RST Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O. Use the "My Reports" one and adjust it ("Edit search" once the results are shown) to show the other states as well (either disabling all or adding all), Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

Bugzilla is quite the beast; searching can be confusing. It seems to always use the criteria of the entire form. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

http://tinyurl.com/yl6ach4 may do what you want. If it does, put in your bookmarks. Then "edit this search" to see that both "status" and "resolution" have nothing selected, instead of selections that limit the search only to open bugs. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
