Crossover Office and 8.2
Does anyone have Crossover working under 8.2? I am trying to get it working but it dies with the following dialog: "Unable to get list of installed applications: child process exited abnormally" Any ideas anyone? thanks, Ahbaid
You need version 2.0 of Crossover office. I've had it working for a couple days now. 1.x won't work on 8.2. Tom On Thu, 2003-04-24 at 11:39, Ahbaid Gaffoor wrote:

Correct. They are currently working on an 1.3.x update, which will work on 8.2 if you need the stability. Otherwise use CrossOver Office 2.0. Ciao, Marcus

IIRC it's due to a different glibc or somesuch ...

A couple things wrong with my original mail. 1) A couple weeks ago...not months; 2) it was beta...and it still is. You're worse than my wife. (I didn't think that was possible, but....) T On Thu, 2003-04-24 at 13:36, Charles Griffin wrote:

I HATE IT WHEN I MAKE STUPID MISTAKES!!!!!!!!! Griffin, I had a really big lunch and wasn't thinking straight. My apologies for the comments made below. Everything went wrong there....not my email, not addressed to me, not thinking. I should start having more salads rather than pasta. Tom On Thu, 2003-04-24 at 13:54, Tom Nielsen wrote:

I admit I was a little confused by the remark about your wife... hehe Seriously, though, no apologies necessary! I think my email came across a little too curt, which was not my intention. I was doing five things at once and I don't think I multitask as well as my Linux box does. :) Cheers, Charles __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! No it isn't - it's actually been released now, and it works fine on 8.2.
