[opensuse] poppler-data pdf cjk display problem (fwd)
---------- Forwarded message ---------- First post. Hello everybody, I'm banging my head on this since I upgraded to 11.3, and don't know already what to do. All apps that use poppler seem not to be able to display cjk properly even with the poppler-data package installed. This happens with evince, epdfview, xpdf, xournal I managed to make xpdf work installing it from source and downloading the cmap files from their site and editing .xpdfrc and so on, that is not letting it use poppler, if I understood how it works. I need xournal to take notes on pdf files, I checked the alternatives, but they are not an option for my taste. And anyway, poppler-data did work just fine on 11.2. Am I missing anything? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. --------------------------------------------------------- I'll add some data. If I remove poppler-data the pdf shows garble, whereas with poppler-data installed it shows squares instead of the actual character. So maybe it is a misconfiguration of my fonts? But I did not touch anything, just installed fonts from packages. Where should I look for the problem? tks -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
