Hi. What's special about the public_html folder in my 8.1 kde installation. Files in there seem no more public than in any other folder. Should they be? It suggests that maybe apache should be able to pick them out. That would be nice. Thanks, Steve.

Try putting a file named index.html in there and point your browser at: http://127.0.0.1/~steve/ If your user name is not steve, just change the address. Regards Ole

Steve, Files in that directory will show up to a web client who connects to http://your.hostname.com/~username providing of course that you're actually running an apache server on that box. Damian steve wrote:
