[opensuse] Opens/wan support IPv6?
I'm planning on building a new firewall shortly and am considering IPSec and Opens/wan. I'd like to know if Opens/wan supports IPv6 data. I'm currently running OpenVPN, but would have to create an IPv6 6in4 tunnel, as OpenVPN doesn't currently support IPv6 in tun mode. If Opens/wan does support IPv6, then I'd go that way, which has the benefit of support for IPSec in my Google Nexus One. I'd still be using IPv4 to connect the VPN end points. tnx jk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I suggest you to try strongswan. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Two remarks. Strongswan (other branche of freeswan) does support IPv6 for quite a while. Several IPv6 configuration are part of their default test plan. Concerning openvpn, IPv6 will be supported in the 2.3-version. Hopefully this year If you dare to take the svn-version (or daily snapshot) you'll have allready a working version. mind you, special config-items though, can not use the config-file you use to use for IPv4-setup... hw -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
