OK, so I downloaded and burned to a DVD the iso file for Suse10.2. 10.1 is installed on this computer. Will 10.2 do an upgrade or will it wipe all the data stored in my home directory? It will do an upgrade if:
- - you boot from the DVD
- - you choose to do an upgrade and not a fresh installation

If /home is a separate partition, you can do a fresh install, tell it not to touch /home in the expert partitioning section, and it will do a fresh new install, while leaving everything in your /home partition untouched. That' my preferred method. Joe -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It will do what you tell it to do. Ie, it can do either. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
