Hi, people. I wanted to report this little YaST annoyance for a long time. Whenever I want to remove an installed package, that is, a package marked `[i]' in one of the YaST displays, I have to type `SPC' twice, as the cycling order of the box checks is: [i] -> [R] -> [D] -> [i] -> ... It would be more comfortable if the order was: [i] -> [D] -> [R] -> ... instead, partly because replacing a package is not a frequent operation, but mainly because [R] might trigger warning boxes to pop up (as they would for an initial installation), forcing the user to uselessly acknowledge them. Merely changing the cycling order would avoid the annoyance of these boxes, when the only goal is marking a package for deletion. P.S. - This is about YaST 1 for 6.2 (and many prior SuSE distributions :-). -- François Pinard http://www.iro.umontreal.ca/~pinard -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

You don't have to cycle through all options. Just press the corresponding letter (i.e. i, d, r). If you want to delete a package, just press D when you have marked it, then D (as in delete) will be chosen.
