I'd like to get Ruby 1.8.3 as a SUSE 10.0 rpm. 1.8.2 is included in the Distro. Anyone know where to find it? Thanks Greg -- Greg Freemyer The Norcross Group Forensics for the 21st Century

Thanks, I was hoping for a SUSE rpm. That way any custimizations Novell did are part of the package. Regardless, I'm installing 1.8.3 from source now. Greg -- Greg Freemyer The Norcross Group Forensics for the 21st Century

Greg, Just get the Ruby src.rpm from SuSE, replace the tar file in the Sources directory with the new one, make your changes to the spec file and compile a new SuSE rpm of the new version. If that seems a bit cryptic, give a yell and I'll try to go into a bit more detail. regards, Lee

Or even easier: grab the .src.rpm from openSUSE Edge/Factory and just compile it on a 10.0 box :) Philipp -- Anything whose specification is too complicated to explain easily probably needs to be redesigned. David Abrahams on boost

I know I can get the ISOs at http://suse.mirrors.tds.net/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-current/ Are individual .src.rpm files for Edge/Factory online anywhere. Greg -- Greg Freemyer The Norcross Group Forensics for the 21st Century
