Yes I agree Justification, which for me would be that the VPN software that I see is included with 8.2 works and is not a pain to setup, 8.1 performs just fine minus VPN. Rich

In any event SuSE was the first distro that worked for me, having spent some months unsuccessfully trying lots of others and never getting anything working it was SuSE 6.1 that got me a working Linux system. Since then I've bought every one, usually the Pro update version. It seems to me that 40GPB twice a year is worth paying to support SuSE. There is no free beer.
Normally I'd agree. And usually what I've done is buy the newest, pass the last on to someone else who's ecstatic to get such a fine distro and introduction to Linux. However, in this case I don't see a reason to rock the boat from a functionality standpoint, unless there's something to make it worth the hassle to upgrade (hassle being relative, obviously, but not insignificant when you have a pretty comfortable setup). I'd possibly be better of giving them my money by buying a stuffed Geeko and a hat if there isn't a compelling technical reason to upgrade.
That's what I'm looking for. Justification. :-)
