Re: [SLE] Fwd: Re: [SLE] kppp after 7.0 upgrade
--- Stephen Horton
I agree - wvdial IS an old faithful AND a good choice - since upgrading to 7.0 (using, admittedly, the free give-away which came with last ed. of 'Linux Format'), although I can use kppp, I get a flash-screen which comes up which tells me my kernel does not have ppp support - which is rubbish.
Downloading the lastest version of kppp from its homepage fixes this. Do a search on freshmeat.net to find the correct page. That didn't fix it for me. Paul Abrahams -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
Hi Paul, I've yet to try this solution myself as someone else on the list suggested it to me. If you find a solution that does work, could you let us know. Thanks, Stephen :-) Q==========================Q | Stephen Horton :-) | | E-mail: wem@clara.co.uk | Q==========================Q On Thu, 5 Oct 2000, Paul W. Abrahams wrote:
