Hi all,
I have Suse 8.0 and I would like to play Wolfenstein 3D on Linux. I got the files from my windows installation, and I got the linux binaries. I am using XFree 4.2.0 with glx, and the 3dmodules are configured (I can play to suse 3d games such as racer and tux racer). Wolfenstein exits with the error message: Sys_Error: GLimp_Init() - could not load OpenGL subsystem
Are you trying to play the original Wolfenstein 3D or the new Return to Castle Wolfenstein? I have RTCW running great on an nvidia geforce2go. Check your /usr/lib/libGL.so link. Is it pointing to the right glx driver for your ATI card? Same with /usr/lib/libGLcode.so.1. I haven't worked with the ATI cards so I don't the specific libraries that should be there, but the libGL links have been the keys for getting all 3D OpenGL games to work for me.
