* Peter Sutter (sutterp@sopac.com.au) [020224 20:32]: -> ->rant mode on ->After I got rid of my Windoze based systems, I begin to regret the move; ->specially since I am currently looking for work here in Australia. To ->apply for a government job here, one must download a 'job information ->package'. As I am using Linux now (Suse V7.3), there is not much joy in ->doing this. Because of the fancy web pages, Netscape just crashes out, ->Konqueror goes in to a tight loop because of sloppy javascripts and ->plugins, Lynx doens't work because it can't do javascript neither does ->the old Mosaic. I haven't tried opera yet. When one deals with with ->private companies, one has a choice to change to an alternative company, ->but when the government forces jobseekers to access their web pages and ->designs their web pages in such a way that these can only be viewed wit ->IE, it becomes discriminatory. Try their glorious site at ->http://www.joblist.com.au. Please don't shoot me, but I just messed around choosing several options for about 15 minutes with no reponse issues what so ever. I'm using the following: Mozilla 0.9.8 CrossOver plugin Sun's Java V1.4 Macromedia Flash 5.0 I'm not sure why I would have better luck then anyone else. Give this combo a try. The CrossOver plugin costs though and I'm not sure that it makes a difference on the site. -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- "I've never been quarantined.
