[opensuse] Trouble with Kernel Module Loading: Howto?

Hi Folks, I noted a problem with volume control on tvtime with a fresh install of 12.1 64-bit. Don Washburn noted the same problem here: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=728447 Robert Spitzenpfeil noted the same problem and attributed it to /dev/mixer being missing. Doing a "modprobe snd-mixer-oss" fixed the problem. But the "fix" of loading snd-mixer-oss in /etc/sysconfig/kernel didn't work for me. I added "modprobe snd-mixer-oss" to /etc/init.d/boot.local, which does work. Question: what's the correct way to load kernel modules with Systemd? Is this a still unfixed bug?
