Hi, I am unable to mount remote samba drive on Suse 9.1 as a regular user. I can mount the remote samba drive just fine as root. However, when I add user in the options for this samba drive mount in /etc/fstab, I get weird errors. Here is how the entry looks like in /etc/fstab //samba.mycompany.com/samba /mnt/mysamba smbfs user,rw,workgroup=wgp 0 0 When I do mount /mnt/mysamba as a regular user, I get the following error: mount error: Invalid argument Please refer to the smbmnt(8) manual page smbmnt failed: 255 If I remove the user from options in /etc/fstab, I get the following error as a regular user. mount: only root can mount //samba.mycompany.com/samba on /mnt/mysamba Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, Osho
