Its an usb aircard, which Suse seems to be setup as/dev/ttyusb0 which I'm taking is my att aircard. Has anyone here been able to setup the aircard and if so what do you use for settings for setting it up. It also seems to want a login an password. Under windows I never had to enter that to get on the internet.
The card should be working as a normal AT modem. You need to set it up like a dialup connection. Not sure about GSM, but on CDMA you dial into #777 and leave the username and password blank. I am pretty sure on GSM It is *99#, but I am not 100% certain. I need to do the same setup myself, but for a phone used as a modem as opposed to a dedicated card (it should be the same setup nonetheless) Ok I booted off of the gnome live cd last night and on the task bar by the clock network manager see the aircard when I plug it in but I can not get it to work. I configure it with login / password black an it has the *99# in there already. it looks like it trying to connect but never does. maybe I'm doing something wrong not sure. thanks for info jack -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
