I've got a dual boot Win 98SE on the first drive and SUSE 8.2 on the second drive. Your windows grub set up is exactly the same as mine. I believe default 0 is the first title, 1 is the second and so on. I know I'll be corrected if wrong. Don't know if anything will be messed if you do directly edit the file 'cuz I'm fairly new to SUSE. I know in Mandrake I could change and did directly change menu.lst. Had to back then because other folks used my 'puter who were Linux-phobes I had to make Windows the default. (Fixed that problem, got them their own 'puters and laugh every time a blue screen of death, virus or worm gets them or every time they have to download a 9 megabyte IE "fix") It does look like you can change the default under Yast by playing in the SYstem -> Boot Loader section. Click on the line that says what OS's you have, click edit and then play with setting the default. Didn't go quite all the way on that one, so I can't give exact instructions HTH On Thursday 16 October 2003 23:22, Carl William Spitzer IV wrote:

I tried to set it up with the install but it looks like I can directly edit the menu.lst file as root. Will directly editing the file create an unknown issue? Would setting default 1 set the default boot to windows?
