Hi
I just upgraded to Firefox 1.03 and my bookmarks are there but when i click on them nothing happens. Anyone have this ?
So they're there, but they don't work. That's really odd. Have you tried renaming your old profile...
mv ~/.mozilla/firefox ~/.mozilla/firefox-OLD
And then restarting Firefox. From there you can replace settings. So far I've replaced...
bookmarks.html formhistory.dat history.dat signons.txt
Now there may be other files I can replace, but this at least gets Firefox semi-functional for me. It's still basically broken, but at least bookmarks popup and work and *some* of my saved forms and passwords work.
Possibly ~/.firefox, I've had no trouble with 1.0.3 downloaded from the mozilla site and installed in /usr/local, I just moved /usr/bin/firefox to /usr/bin/FF and ln -s /usr/local/firefox/firefox /usr/local/bin/.
The format of bookmarks.html appears to have changed. If you modified the default bookmarks.html in an earlier version of Firefox, The update didn't replace or fix bookmarks.html. This may be the root of the problem.

Quite likely, my bookmarks are always expanding and changing, but I haven't seen the problem during any of the upgrades, all from mozilla.org. The only thing that changed with 1.0.2 was cut&paste from firefox text stopped working, fixed by turning off Autocopy under Edit. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
