I have installed OpenSuse 10.3 and my HP Photosmart 8450 refuses to print. I have spent a lot of time trying to get it to work, but without sucess. Could someone please help me to solve this problem.
Charles Does that printer work with other applications? It will work with any application except when it is switched off and then on again. i.e. when it is switched back on it will not work at all.
Charles, I don't know if the bug is in CUPS or hlip, the HP driver. But I DO know a work around. On your utilities menu is "Printing." Choose the HP option. You MAY have to do so as root. You'll have to "start" the printer in there.....done. You can also check ink levels, etc. Fred -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
