"You still have to ALLOW tcp port 139 on internal, dmz and/or external" mean???
I would imagine it means if you are keeping a windows network, tho why you would let it on the DMZ or External.. 139 broadcasts "I'm a windows network /machine come and use me" or code to that effect <vbg> Most of us don't want our boxes set up that way.. so perhaps you might want to consider that as a reason NOT to have it on a DMZ or Firewall setup... It's only needed if you have to access a poorly setup windows network that only allows a connection from a windows box.... However, that doesn't mean you can't connect to your office windows machine w/ a linux box.. You probably will need to make certain admin knows you are allowed to connect from home or you will be introuble no matter what kind of box you connect w/. -- j -- nemo me impune lacessit
