It is a bridged setup. If you aren't sure how to do this, I'm sure I or
someone else can help you. There are other documentation resources that
outline the process though.
I would like the bridge to be to the eth1 interface, which looks like
this:
BOOTPROTO='static'
BROADCAST=''
ETHTOOL_OPTIONS=''
IPADDR='10.2.10.41/28'
MTU=''
NAME='RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+'
NETWORK=''
REMOTE_IPADDR=''
STARTMODE='auto'
USERCONTROL='no'
4: eth1: mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UNKNOWN qlen 1000
link/ether 00:a0:00:00:19:4a brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 10.2.10.41/28 brd 10.2.10.47 scope global eth1
inet6 fe80::2a0:ff:fe00:194a/64 scope link
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
I have tried setting up a bridge by making a file
called /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-br0 that contains:
BOOTPROTO='static'
BROADCAST=''
ETHTOOL_OPTIONS=''
IPADDR='10.1.9.1/24'
NETWORK=''
REMOTE_IPADDR=''
STARTMODE='auto'
USERCONTROL='no'
BRIDGE='yes'
BRIDGE_PORTS='eth1'
PREFIXLEN='24'
When I initialize this interface eth1 stops working.
The bridge device looks like this:
7: br0: mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN
link/ether 00:a0:00:00:19:4a brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
inet 10.1.9.1/24 brd 10.1.9.255 scope global br0
inet6 fe80::2a0:ff:fe00:194a/64 scope link
valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
Why would eth1 stop working?
Yours sincerely,
