Where can I get information on how to set up 9.2 in a laptop which I will be using alone a good part of the time, and sometimes, using a docking station with a larger monitor?
Specifically, how do I set up the second monitor? Sax seems to limit me to one. I can't use "multi-head" because I have only one video card. This will be "either or" not "both"

YaST, System, Profile Manager will get the SCPM (System Configuration Profile Management) up and running. Check the list for a recent discussion. It was designed with laptops, docking stations and multiple locations in mind. Recent discussion was on other uses for servers, etc.

Thank you! I will search the archives. Funny there is no HowTo on this topic.

The only problem would be if your docking station has an ethernet port, then that may come up as eth0, on mine, it was eth1 on 9.1, now it's eth0 with 9.2. With the monitor, there is a key combination that can switch video to the external monitor, assuming the docking station has a video port that mates with the external video port on the laptop. I used my laptop that way between home and work for a number of years. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and keen Flyer =====LINUX ONLY USED HERE=====
