I said "time to time" because freezing and warnings are happening randomly.
I am able to reproducing a system freeze/slowness if I deliberately execute a "compact folder" on my IMAP account.
I will try to do your last recommendation by opening XPCOMUtils.jsm on line 331 (wonder where this //gre/modules/ folder is located inside file-system?)
FWIW, on my system (11.4) 'locate XPCOMUtils' yields:
~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/gecko/1.1.0/wine_gecko/modules/XPCOMUtils.jsm ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/syswow64/gecko/1.1.0/wine_gecko/modules/XPCOMUtils.jsm /usr/lib64/xulrunner-1.9.2.28/modules/XPCOMUtils.jsm /usr/lib64/xulrunner-2.0.1/modules/XPCOMUtils.jsm
BTW, have you checked your logs 'just in case' to rule out hard drive / filesystem issues?
as user: 'dmesg | grep /dev' as root: 'cat /var/log/messages | grep /dev' [or /dev/sd or /dev/hd]
I have not xulruner installed here: Informazioni per pacchetto xulrunner: Repository: Updates for openSUSE 12.1 12.1-1.4 Nome: xulrunner Versione: 11.0-2.23.1 Arch: x86_64 Fornitore: openSUSE Installato: No Stato: non installato Dimensione installata: 31,0 MiB Sommario: Mozilla Runtime Environment Descrizione: XULRunner is a single installable package that can be used to bootstrap multiple XUL+XPCOM applications that are as rich as Firefox and Thunderbird. My notebook is new so I exclude a HW problem on HD, btw dmesg has not errors/warnings related.
