What I want is for remote users to login like they do with an ISP. e.g. They just put their username : password in & the remote system configures their IP address, remote ip, dns & default route, in otherwords, does it all dynamicly. Can this be achived with mgetty & pppd or is it better to use a radius server? If so, what radius server is suitable & not a headache to set-up?
Just create a file in /etc/ppp called options.ttySx (replace with the port of your incoming modem), and add the necessary info (check man pppd), as well as add the necessary info to pap-secrets.
