Not true. I run one of the largest public web sites in the world, using Linux as a front end (I think we are second to Google.) We have a LOT of problems with systems crashing, but generally under very high loads.
I think most computer professionals will realize heavy loads cause problems. The typical linux newbie, however, may need reminding that even under light loads, linux is far more stable than win, be it production or not. This based on my experience. Have a good day. steve.
