Hello, Raul. If a Windows machine cannot resolve a name from the name cache, host, lmhost, DNS or WINS, it will send out a broadcast packet. This works OK if all the machines are on the same network segment, as most routers do not allow broadcasts through. With such a small number of Windows machines, setting up a WINS server (yes, Samba can do that) might be more effort than it is worth. It will improve your network response times for these clients, but will not affect network load to any great extent. (Sticks neck out and waits to have it cut...)
