The KT7A is on my shortlist too (some excellent reviews). I'm still undecided on what processor (XP?) and memory though. BTW, you can only use two registered DDR DIMMs on this board.
I have a KT7A with an Athlon 1100 chip. It has performed quite well. I use W2k on it now, but I did install SuSE 7.2 for a while with no problems. Unless I overclock my 1100, I'm only running my 133 RAM at 100, but it's still a very fast computer. TYAN also makes a new $220 MP motherboard (not the $400+ server board with built in RAID). The AMD chips are so cheap that it's real hard not to consider the MP version. FWIW I've always heard spotty and troublesome things about the RAID version of this board, so beware. ===== ---- Daniel Woodard __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
