[05-30-05 13:17]: I have just installed an additional HD with the Reiser file system as /dev/hdb with one partition /dev/hdb1. I did this while logged on as root.
Then I logged on as a user and attempted to access /dev/hdb1 mounted as /data3. I got the following message:
Could not mount device. The reported error was: mount: I could not determine the filesystem type and none was specified
Then the /data3 directory was displayed in Krusader.
My fstab entry is:
/dev/hdb1 /data3 auto auto,user,exec 0 0
Obviously, I've missed something.
Did you *format* the partition, /dev/hdb1 ?? Yes -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery
