Hello, From SuSE 7.1 and up to SuSE 10.0 I used to compile kdebase in order to include a patch of mine which purpose is to detect if Vmware is running when I try to stop KDE and this in order to cleanly stop the OS running in VMware. In order to do that, I download the src.rpm, extract from it the kdebase-3.x.x.tar.gz install it and run : ./configure cd ksmserver (after application of my patch) make make install Then I restart KDE and everything works. BUT with SuSE 10.1 and KDE 3.5., even after compilation of a non patched ksmserver, the KDE session doesn't start. Can a KDE gourou try to help me in order to solve this problem. I even tried to apply the patches related to ksmserver included in the src pachage but I got compilation errors ... So I'm lost, where can I find the sources which accept to be compiled and to start kde, do I've do patch them ? .... Thanks in advance. Michel
